The Skincare Tag

Hey Everyone,
I got tagged by Fay to do the Skincare Tag which I was quite excited about because even though I struggle badly with my skin *sob* I love skincare and trying out new products. Here are the questions!
Describe your skincare routine in 5 words
Cleanse, Exfoliate, Tone, Target and Moisturise

What's your skin type?
This I always struggle with, I have acne but my skin is actually not oily. Normal/slightly combination.

What's your favourite skincare product?
I love Lush Angels on bare skin cleanser, it's perfect! The only cleanser which doesn't leave my skin feeling tight and dried out after, it's also for every skin type. If my Clarisonic counts then that too as when I used to use it regularly I noticed a bit difference and I think I'm going to try and work it back into my routine.

Top blemish zapper
I have so many 'blemish zappers' I'm sure I will do an in depth post at some point. I'm going to go for The Body Shop tea tree oil in the little green bottle it works amazing for the price!

Face wipes yay or nay?
Nay! I never ever use them I just don't see the point for me to plus they're not good for your skin anyway when you use them to actually 'clean' your face.

High end skincare or high end makeup?
I love both but I think I will go for high end skincare because I think it's really important to treat your skin well and look after it and for me, I try and use higher quality products because they work better for me, but obviously it does depend on what the product is.

What's the most unusual skincare product you've tried?
Not sure if it counts as 'usual' but the most 'different' product I've ever tried is the Soap & Glory No Clogs Allowed face mask which is self heating so when you put it on and rub it in it heats up, it feels quite strange!

You're in a French pharmacy and can only pick one item - what is it?
Ooh, um, I will have to go with La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo. I've always been intrigued by it.

Tell us your top skincare tip
I always recommend using scrubs and masks regularly. I always try to use a face mask once or twice a week depending on what it is. It really refreshes and cleanses deep down into your pores making your skin look and feel cleaner, clearer and brighter. As well as scrubs being important to get all the dead skin cells off the surface! It amazes me how many people just wash their face and that's it, I think it makes such a difference!

So those are my answers! The bloggers I am tagging are:

Let me know below what your favourite skincare products are or anything you think I should try!

Haul ♥ MUA & Collection

Hi Everyone ♥
Even though I don't wear makeup I love experimenting with it and I've decided it's definitely a possible future career path I may take and while reading Karla Powell's blog this morning I was inspired to create a look and settled on a sweet themed look with pinks, purples and blues.
As I was going shopping today anyway it seemed the perfect opportunity to pop into Superdrug and get some cheap but good quality products to create this look with. I got six things most of which I used today and am impressed with!

MUA Blusher 'Marshmallow' : This is one of their new shades which is a barbie like pink which on first impressions is very very soft and quite pigmented. £1
MUA Eyeshadow Pearl shade 2: I wanted a single shadow white to highlight with and this one is great for that, not being harsh but brightens the eyes nicely. £1
MUA Eyeliners 'Snow White' & 'Lovely Lilac' : These I've not yet tried as I didn't end up using them but white is quite a staple colour and the lilac looked pretty haha. I did have the white before and it was very creamy but my dog chewed it up! £1 each
Collection Glam Crystals 'Glitz' : So I wanted a glitter liner and after hearing Hannah talk about these ones a lot I got this silver one. This is not one of those sparse glitter liners one stroke gives a super glittery opaque line which I'm very impressed with! £2.99
This little lot came to a bargainus £6.99 and on first impressions they all seem really great quality. I'm sure I will have reviews up on some of them and I will also be sharing the look I created with them fairly soon so look out for that!

NOTD ♥ £1.99 Mermaid Nails

Hey Everyone ♥
I got this polish named 'Nail Junkie' a while ago because it looked like a really unique colour which I have nothing like and I briefly featured it *here* but never got round to wearing it but the other day I finally did and I can't believe I waited so long...it's beautiful! It was fully opaque glitter in one coat but I added another to make it even more glittery. It just reminds me of mermaids and the sea with it being a jelly-like blue base with lots of different sized blue, green and yellow glitter pieces.

I think this is such a beautiful colour and outstanding value for money considering the quality of the product for it's price. I really want to get more Sinful Colors polishes, next on my list is 'Easy Going'!

Bright Lips ♥ Sleek 'Fuchsia' Lipstick

Hello Everyone
I was lucky enough to win Leigh's giveaway, and a sleek lipstick was one of the prizes. As I could choose which shade I would like I went for a colour I have nothing like & would never usually opt for, a bright hot pink!
I've not ventured much into Sleek products so was really excited to try one of their lipsticks and safe to say I have not been disappointed! This is a sheen finish named Fuchsia which like its name suggests is a hot, hot pink!

The formula of these sheen lipsticks are amazing. In fact, I wouldn't hesitate to say it's by far one of the best I've tried or come across. It's seriously creamy and glides so smoothly over the lips. The staying power of this is, again, one of the best I've tried. Now, this may be because the colour is so intense but speaking for this shade it stayed looking the same until a few hours after I first put it on and then slowly faded to more of a pink stain but was still very visible!

It's really pigmented and the hand swatch below genuinely was one quick swipe! It's a very intense shade but can be blotted to be more wearable. It's bright pink but leans very very slightly purple rather than a true pink which doesn't really translate well in the pictures.

I've never done a 'lips' swatch before, does it look weird haha let me know if I shouldn't do another!
Overall, I'm very impressed with these and I believe these are one of the best 'drugstore' lipsticks and are excellent for their price. I will definitely be trying more shades and possibly the other finish, matte.
RRP: £4.99

Let me know what you think, would you dare to wear this?

Ted Baker Small Bow Washbag

Hi everyone, hope you are all having a nice evening!
Today this beauty arrived at my door and I just had to share it with you because I absolutely adore it!

This is the Ted Baker 'Kalipso small bow' Wash bag/cosmetic bag. I've been so tempted to buy this so on Friday I finally did and I was so happy when I received it today. It is made out of PVC so it is wipe clean if you get it a little dirty, with the main body being pale pink with a white bow on the front. It has rose gold hardware which really makes it that extra bit pretty! It feels nice and sturdy and just...pleasing to hold haha. Also, it looks little but it opens quite wide and is fairly deep so you should be able to fit quite a lot inside.
So what do you think loving it or leaving it? They also have it in some other pastel colours if pink's not your thing :)
